Seattle's Sikhs Observe Martyrdom Week ( Page-1) ( From December 19, 1999 to December 26, 1999 ) Seattle's Sikhs observed Martyrdom Week at Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Washington in the city of Renton state of Washington to remember the sacrifices made by their 9th guru Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji as well as all four sons of their 10th who was the last living guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Seattle, U.S.A. ( December 19, 1999 ) Today the Sikhs of Washington state observed the martyrdom day of their 9th guru: Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji who gave his life to save a religious community that was not his own namely the Hindus of Kashmir, India even though he himself was a Sikh. In accordance with that spirit of helping the needy, a blood donation camp was organized by the sikhs at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in the city of Renton today in which Mrs. Satinder Kaur Chawla played a pivotal role. A bus of the Puget Sound Blood Center is waiting outside the Langar Hall (community kitchen) of the Gurdwara ( Sikh Temple ) in Renton on December 19, 1999..
