It must be noted that Professor Naranjan Singh Sahota wrote most of those three books during his illness in the last two years of his life. He was trying to make the best of his last days in this World and he completely succeeded in that effort. By so doing, he displayed such heroism that should serve as a model for all of us during our time of distress. His three poetry books were published and released within eleven months of his departure. This became possible due to the dedication and commitment shown towards this cause by his wife Kulwant Kaur Sahota, his two sons Kanwaljit Singh Sahota, Amritpal Singh Sahota and their wives. Mrs. Kulwant Kaur Sahota who has worked as a teacher for almost a quarter century in the old country made a special trip to India to complete this mission. This was a real homage to Prof. Sahota's memories and a great service to advance the cause of Punjabi literature. Once again I commend the Sahota family for their sincere and successful effort to advance the cause of Punjabi literature especially in the Western World by preserving prof. Sahota's literature for the coming generations. This was a day that will be long remembered in the history of Punjabi Sahit Sabha Seattle.
