This report is about the Sikh religion. Sikhs speak a language called Punjabi. There are eleven gurus (teachers). You might be asking how long at the least has Sikhism been around? It has been around for 500 years at least. Sikhism is a religion in India, which isn't very popular. If you were a Christian, and you wanted to be a Sikh you could do that. That's one reason why Sikhism is different from other religions.

As I said earlier there are eleven gurus, ten were living gurus, and one is the Holy book. The names of the ten living gurus are: Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Angad Dev Ji, Guru Amar Das Ji, Gum Ram Das Ji, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Guru Har Gobind Ji, Guru Har Rai Ji, Guru Har Krishan Ji, Guru Tegh Bahadar Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Our present Guru is the Almighty Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This Holy book contains 1,430 pages! It contains hymns of various poets which belonged to different religions and sects to name some: Hindu Saints, Muslim Fakirs, a Weaver, a Cobbler, a Shudra and gurus. This book is our bible in other words. All the hymns are written in musical Ragas in Punjabi. Usually, a hymn starts with lk Onkar Satgur Parsad. (God is one with it's blessings)

Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the founder of the Sikh religion. He lived trough 1469-1539. Born in Talwandi, on November 14, 1469, he grew up to be a saint loved by both Hindus and Muslims. His mother was Mata Tripta Ji and his father was Mehta Kalu Ji. He had two
