called Jetha (First born) by his parents and later he was called Guru Ram Das Ji. His mother was Mata Daya Ji and his father's name was Hari Das ji. He lived from 1534-1581. This Guru Ji found the lake where The Golden Temple was later built known as Harimander Sahib or Darbar Sahib). Here is the picture of this temple, which I took when I went to India.

 

Golden Temple is one of the eight wonders of the world, because of it's golden plating and how it was built in a lake. Guru Arjan Dev Ji was born at Goindwal on April 15, 1663. He was the youngest son of Guru Ram Das Ji and Mata Bhani Ji. Couple of facts are that he lived from 1563-1606. He compiled the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. King Jahangir tortured this Guru Ji to death for silly reasons. He was the first person in the Sikh religion to do a martyrdom. Guru Arjan Dev Ji's son, Guru Har Gobind Ji, the sixth guru was born in Wadali, near Arnritsar district on June 14,1595. His mother was Mata Ganga Ji.
