DR AMARJIT TANDA FEDERAL CANDIDATE FOR GREENWAY

                        Sydney ( 22, Sept., 2004). ROSE HILL resident DR AMARJIT TANDA MSc,PhD, JP, has been nominated by the residents of Greenway to contest Federal Elections on October, 9, 2004 from the Commonwealth Electoral Division of Greenway as an Independent candidate for the House of Representatives of Australia.  

              An International Volunteer Award winner, said he wanted to keep the Interest Rates always Low as well as Best Hospital  facilities with affordable medicines.

                             “My main policies will concentrate around the Bulk Billing, Best & Efficient Transport facilities, Low Education Fees, Best Peoples Security,” Dr Tanda said.

                                                                An internationally renowned Indo-Australian Senior Entomologist, Poet and a Punjabi Sikh Social Worker, DR AMARJIT TANDA, was born in a small village of Punjab , India . With a background in student unionism at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Dr Tanda was also on the executive committee of the Punjab Agricultural University   Teachers Association and constituted Akali Dal Party in Australia . He worked for Australian Labor Party since 1994-2001, 2004 and contributed substantially. He also contested the Federal Elections from Greenway  as an Independent in 2001.

                      “ I left Australian Labor Party because there was no identity, we need our efforts, unity and strength recognized at the earliest and some political front of our Indians, Pakistanis and SriLlankan peoples through Australian Labor Party next time,” Dr Tanda said strongly.

                 Dr Tanda said he wanted to improve Hospital system with more Doctors and Nurses from India , Pakistan and SriLlanka, as well as reduce the number of road/ red light cameras and  improve parking system. He called for deployment of more police in Greenway and better & quick transport and beautiful roads at the ealiest.
