Punjab : Punjab is a state divided in two parts: East and West, the way we used to have East and West Germany.  The East Punjab is in India while the West Punjab is in Pakistan.  People in both parts speak the same language called Punjabi even though they use different alphabets to write that language. However, In my view, Punjab has three parts.  Other than the East and the West Punjab mentioned above, there is another part of Punjab which I call Punjab Abroad because it is scattered around the world in different countries with a culture of its own.  It is such a reality that nobody can ignore.  Moreover, it is a permanent reality and is not going to go away.  There is already enough written information about Punjab on the Internet.  We do not find it appropriate to allocate any more of our resources to repeat the same information that is already available on various Websites.  We would like to devote the Punjabi Manch portion of our Website to Punjabi literature while most of the Punjab-Online portion to the Punjabis and their adopted homelands outside the geographical boundaries of the two Punjab states mentioned above.---------Editor.
